Links Group Notice
Effective 1st March 2007 Links Group in Dubai, the company formation specialists, announces that Partner, Nicholas Hopwood, has sold his interest in Links Group to his co-founding Partner John Martin St.Valery. Links Group have successfully carved a niche services business offering a turnkey solution for companies wishing to establish a commercial presence in United Arab Emirates and State of Qatar.
John Martin St.Valery, CEO heads a new Board including Chief Operating Officer, Julie Irving and Finance Director, Nolan Furtado. Further Non-Executive positions will be announced shortly. The Group has established a Head Office situated at The Fairmont Dubai and in additional to the Links Qatar operation an Abu Dhabi Federal Branch opens during the month of March and a proposed business centre in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman later in 2007.
St Valery said, “Nick and I have enjoyed a close working relationship over the past four years culminating in a widely recognised and successful services business that helps companies attain the fastest and most cost effective route to market in this region. I know that Nick will enjoy continued success in his chosen fields of expertise, Real Estate & Financial Services, both boom sectors in the UAE that require close regulation and application of corporate governance”.
Nick Hopwood remains in the UAE and using his extensive business network will be working in the above mentioned Real Estate and Financial Services sectors. Of his new venture Hopwood said, “I am incredibly excited and in a fortunate position to start working on establishing new ventures within sectors of the market that at present lack adequate regulation and compliance. My aim will be to offer the same professionalism for companies in these areas as Links Group offers in company establishment. This is not a divorce! John and I have been incredibly lucky in our Partnership; a combination of strengths, skills and humour that have enabled us to build such a successful Brand. We have reached a stage whereby our skills are better suited to separate interests but I know we will continue to work closely together in the future. I wish John and the team at Links every success and am sure the Group will continue to ease the burden of company formation for many years to come”.
